Not The Greatest Start For Rockingham City

It was definitely a warm one for Football on Saturday at Bayswater City Soccer Club with both the 18s and 20s both going down 6-0 in sweltering heat against some quality Bayswater youth.

Meanwhile, the first team lost 3-0. All three goals coming in the first half, including a free kick that would have troubled any goalkeeper in the world!

RCFC coach Goran Stajić said that his team played one of the weakest halves since he was the coach at yesterday’s visit to Bayswater, but he pointed out that he was pleased with the reaction of the players in the second half.”It really was a difficult first half, one of the weakest performances since I have been coach of Rockingham City. We did not execute on the field as to the agreement, but this happens. What makes me happy is their reaction in the second half. The changes gave results, the rhythm of the game was raised and we started to play with purpose and created chances. I take my hat off to the players for the second half fight, we were still in the game with only the goals missing. We will learn and grow from our mistakes, we will analyse a lot from the first half, so that we can always play with the aggression and belief that is required at this level. said Stajić.

Rockingham City will travel to Cockburn in the next round of the NPL…
