The Weekend Review

We start off the weekend review with a game that happened on Friday night where Rockingham United played host to Port Kennedy in a Masters league local derby. A Rafa Insaurralde inspired hat trick proved to much for the visitors as United cruised to a 6-2 victory.

It wasn’t a good day on Sunday for our women’s state league teams. In a surprise result, Mandurah City lost 2-1 to a previously winless Armadale, while Port Kennedy’s woes continue when they lot 7-0 to top of the table ECU Joondalup.

In the amateur division 1, Peel United continued their fine form with a 2-1 win over Gosnells City. Peel were made to work hard for this result and had to come from behind to get the three points. Port Kennedy’s amateur’s were held 1-1 at home against Emerald FC.

Mandurah City in division 2 got a last minute winner through Josh MacKinder as the beat Floreat Athena 2-1. The result in the division 3 game between Baldivis and Lynwood United is still not in, while in division 4, Rockingham City lost 3-1 at home to Cracovia Soccer Club.

Womens Metro South Division 1

Victoria Park 0 Baldivis Districts 2 – Goals from Jones and MacDonald meant that Baldivis remain top of the league with 10 points from a possible 12 so far.

Womens Metro South Division 3

Rockingham United 6 Beeliar Spirit 0 – Goals from Allan(2), Hider, Kessey, Comer and Nolan gave Rockingham United their biggest win of the season so far.

Mens Metro South Division 2

Mandurah City 7 Queens Park 0 – Mandurah remain top of the league with goals from Baty(2), Buchan (2), J.Gill, G.Gill and Mizori and maintain their 100% record.

Mens Metro South Division 3

Warnbro Strikers 1 Baldivis 3– A hat trick from Agius was enough for Baldivis to take the points in this local derby

Perth AFC 1 Peel United 6 – Peel record their highest win of the season away to Perth AFC. Goalscorers included Seymour, McCabe, Douglas, Briggs and Brown.

Masters Over 45 South A

Rockingham United 9 Leeming Strikers 1 – Anther team who got their highest score of the season so far. A first half hat trick from Paterson helped Rockingham to a 7-0 lead a half time. Other goal scorers included Flynn, Baker(2), Needham, Trotter and an own goal and this result pushed the team into third place.

MUM FC 7 Port Kennedy 4 – Despite goals from Carey, Cooper-Janes, Joyce and Marchlewicz, Port Kennedy suffered their first loss of the season, however they still remain top on goal difference.

Under 13’s South Division 4

Sutherlands Park 4 Baldivis 5 – 4 goals from Burke and the other from Kuthan provided Baldivis with the three points in this high scoring game

Under 14’s South Division 2

Baldivis (Green) 9 Perth Saints 0 – Baldivis maintain their 100% record with this big win. A hat trick from Ouyhya, and other goals from Mocnaj (2), Nolan, Gray, Williams and Chadzamira now means Baldivis have scored 21 goals in just 3 games so far this season.

Under 14’s South Divison 3

Mandurah City 3 Curtin University 1 – Mandurah stay top of the table with this hard fought win against Curtin. Goals from Rice, Del Prado and Lindsay were too good for the visitors.

Under 16’s Division 2

Peel United 4 Hamersley Rovers 1 – Ugbour was amongst the scorers for Peel who maintain their 100% record

Under 16’s Division 5

Baldivis 6 Yanchep United 1 – Baldivis maintain their spot at the top of the table . Four goals from Wardle and others from Potter and Terry meant the visitors had a very long journey back home

Port Kennedy 7 Canning City 0 – Port Kennedy are now up to 2nd place with this fine win. A doubles from Platt, Kheri and Jackson and another from Marchlewicz, make it a good divisin for our local sides.

Under 18’s Division 4

Warnbro Strikers 7 Canning City 1 – The strikers get their first win of the season in this good win

Under 14’s Girls Division 2

Lynwood United 0 Rockingham United 6 – United now sit in 3rd place. A hat rick from Byrne and others from Sinker, Greasley and Gray mean United are pushing for the top spot.

Under 14’s Girls Division 3

Rockingham City 5 Subiaco 0 – City stay top of the league with goals from Wilson (2), Marchlewiz, Hood and Newman. City have now scored 18 goals in 3 games and conceded 0
