
Goals, goals and more goals seemed to be the order of the weekend as many teams decided to leave their defence at home this weekend!
On Saturday, away from the FFA Cup, Mandurah City’s under 18’s comfortably beat Swann United 11-1. Swann have been struggling for players this season and only arrived with 10 players and their task wasn’t made any easier when they had a player sent off with 20 minutes still to go.
In the state league cup, Mandurah City’s reserves beat Canning City’s reserves 3-2 to progress to the next round. On Sunday, Rockingham City’s reserves threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 to Western Knights in the cup while to compound a bad day for Rockingham, their under 18’s lost 4-2 to Subiaco’s under 18’s.
In the Women’s state league, Mandurah City took the journey down south to Bunbury and then hurried back up the freeway after South West Phoenix beat them 6-1.
Some tighter results in the mens amateur leagues. Peel United lost their first game of the season, losing 3-2 to North Beach while Port Kennedy continued the goals theme by beating Gosnells City 5-2. Division 1 saw Mandurah City lose 3-0 to Maccabi, Baldivis lost 3-0 to Brozzy in division 3 while Rockingham city went down 6-0 at home to Sutherlands Park.

Baldivis Districts 4 Fremantle City 1 – Baldivis stay top of the league with this comprehensive victory.

Baldivis 3 Rockingham United 2 – Baldivis were 3-0 up when Rockingham put on a brave comeback and nearly snatch a point.
Fremantle City 0 Mandurah City 5 – Weson scored a Hatrick in this game of goals for the Dolphins.

Fremantle City 1 Mandurah City 12 – Mandurah continued their red hot form and remain top of the league. Hat-tricks from Baly and Knights made up half the Dolphins goals.
Murray District Rangers 8 Port Kennedy 3 – Colum with a hat trick in this local derby.

Kwinana 1 Warnbro Strikers 2 & Peel United 6 Victoria Park 0 – Both these results mean Strikers and Peel are joint top, with Warnbro have a slightly better goal difference.
