A cold and wet weekend just passed but that wasn’t enough to stop everyone from enjoying a weekend of football action.
Rockingham City showed a massive improvement from last weeks cup defeat, as they took a 2-0 lead against Perth Glory with goals from Kennedy and Vaenas. However, Glory showed their strength and 3 late first half goals gave the visitors a 3-2 lead at half time. No further goals in the second half but to compound the misery for the hosts, Vaenas was sent off as the game came to a close. Off the pitch, a grand total of $5750 was raised for Worthy Australia, so well done to all who helped raise these funds.
Mandurah City continued their good run with a 2-1 win over Ashfield. Goals from Burns and Boyle gave the Dolphins a 2-0 lead and despite Ashfield scoring late in the second half, Mandurah held on to move up to 7th in the league.
