The Sunday Review

With it being both the long weekend and a cup round, there wasn’t to much football action on Sunday or Monday.

The games that were played included the women’s state league game between Mandurah City and UWA Nedlands. The Dolphins were coming off a good win the previous week but that good fortune didn’t continue as the visitors ran out 4-1 winners.

In the Amateur reserves cup, Port Kennedy drew 2-2 with Curtin University but eventually won 5-4 on penalties.

In the masters cup, Mandurah City south division 1 side lost 3-1 to premier side Forrestfield United.

The over 45’5 cup saw our last team lose. Baldivis of south B lost 5-1 at home to Joondalup City of North B division.

The junior section saw a full program of fixtures. In the under 13’s division 2, Port Kennedy lost 6-1 to Canning City, the south division 1 saw Mandurah City lose 7-0 at home to Kalamunda United, the under 13’s south division 2 saw Rockingham City lost 4-1 at home to Canning City, Port Kennedy of south division 3 lost 10-1 to Fremantle City while in south division 4, Baldivis won 1-0 against Cockburn City and Baldivis (Green) beat Baldivis Districts 1-0.

Under 14’s results were as follows. In south division 1/2, Baldivis (Green) beat Lynwood 1-0 while Warnbro Strikers drew 0-0 with Aubin Grove. Division 3 saw Mandurah City beat Port Kennedy 4-0 while the result of the game between Kwinana United and Baldivis districts is not yet known.

Warnbro Strikers of the under 15 division 1/2 had a good win against Dianella winning 3-0. In south division 1/2, Rockingham City (Yellow) lost 3-1 to Curtin University, Mandurah City lost 2-1 to Canning City and Rockingham City (Green) lost 6-2 to Sutherlands Park.

Peel United continued their good form in the under 16’s winning 5-0 at home to Lynwood United in division 2. Port Kennedy had a good 8-3 win against Mindarie in division 4, while in division 5, Baldivis won 5-4 away to Perth Saints but Port Kennedy lost 3-2 to Yanchep United.

The under 18’s saw Rockingham City grind out a good 1-0 win away to Western Knights, while in the local derby, Port Kennedy beat Warnbro Strikers 6-3.

The girls competition saw Rockingham United beat Woodvale 4-0 in division 2, while the division 3 result between Rockingham City and Kalamunda is not yet known. In the under 16’s division 2, Port Kennedy beat woodvale 3-2 and Baldivis drew with Subiaco 1-1. Finally, in the under 18’s, Mandurah City drew 2-2 with MUM FC
