
There was a huge result on Sunday in the women’s state league as Mandurah City moved off the bottom of the table with a good 2-1 win over Gwelup Croatia.
Goals from Taylor and Green were enough to lift the Dolphins up to 7th, leapfrogging their opponents.
It was also a good day in the men’s amateur division 1 as both Peel United and Port Kennedy won. Peel’s win maintained their top of the table place and now hold a 4 point advantage over 2nd place Emerald while Port Kennedy moved up to 7th with a 3-1 over Ellenbrook United. In division 2, Mandurah City lost 3-1 away to Stirling Macedonia, division 3 saw Baldivis lose heavily at home, 6-1 to Fremantle United and in division 4, Rockingham City’s woes continue as they lost 3-0 at home to MUM FC.

Women’s Metro South Division 1 – Gosnells City 1 Baldivis Districts 2. Two goals in the last 10 minutes enabled Districts to get the win and go 7 points clear at the top of the table.
Men’s Metro South Division 2 – Port Kennedy 0 Mandurah City 2. Another win for the Dolphins, making it 7 wins from 7.
Men’s Metro South Division 3 – Kwinana United 0 Peel United 2. Peel’s good form continues as they are now 3 points clear at the top of the table.
Master’s South Division 1 – Rockingham United 8 Kalamunda United 0. A hat trick from Trotter and a “fluke of a goal” from Nathan Jones helped produce this comprehensive victory.
Over 45’s South A – Port Kennedy 0 Leeming Strikers 0. Despite the result, Port Kennedy remain 3 points clear at the top of the table.
Under 16’s division 2 – Joondalup City 1 Peel United 1. Maybe 2 points dropped for Peel, but they still are 6 points clear at the top of the table.
