Mandurah City’s state league women’s side continued their excellent recent form with a fine 1-0 win away to Armadale. As will all games this Sunday, the wet, windy and stormy weather played a part but the visitors came away with all three points with a goal from J. Willemse in the 75th minute. The win now puts Mandurah in 6th place on the table and more importantly, 5 points clear from bottom side Stirling Macedonia.
In the amateur league division 1, Peel United suffered heartbreak as South Perth scored in the 90th minute to win 3-2. South Perth then equalised a couple of minutes before half time before the last minute winner. Peel’s lead at the top of the ladder was cut down to 2 pints, due to North Beach’s extraordinary result away to Forrestfield, winning 6-5.
