The Saturday Preview

With any luck, the rain will ease off and games will go ahead this weekend as planned, although as I type, tonights (Friday) PJSA games have just been cancelled due to the weather, so lets hope that’s not a sign of things to come.

Saturday see’s three of our teams in action. The Winter Walking Festival is happening at Floreat on Saturday morning and the Peel Ramblers are in action. Peel will be hoping to improve on their 6th place in the last tournament, and with a couple of new players, change in player positions they hope to be contenders for this tournament. The Ramblers would like to pass on their thanks to Mark Button, who has announced his retirement from walking football, having never been on a losing team.

Saturday afternoon’s NPL action has Rockingham City hoping to get back to winning ways when they make the long trip up to Sorrento. City are only 2 points behind Balcatta but will need to improve from last weeks loss to ECU Joondalup.

Mandurah City are at home on Saturday where Fremantle City are the visitors. Games between the two clubs are usually entertaining affairs and as only 2 points seperate the two teams, this game should be no exception.

Both Rockingham and Mandurah kick off at 3pm, with the under 18’s kicking off at 11 and the reserves at 1pm.
