Saturday Review (Part Two)

Rockingham City hope to get back to winning and survival ways when they play mid table Inglewood United at Lark Hill on Saturday.

Inglewood’s current form was been either a win or a loss and City will have to hope for another loss for the visitors and also hope that 11th placed Balcatta also lose at home to Sorrento.

Speaking on the clubs Facebook page Head Coach Lee Taylor said “We now start a run of back-to-back important home games with first up being Night Series champions Inglewood United. As always there are no easy games in this league and they will be full of confidence following a 5-0 win over Bayswater City last weekend. Although we came away with a loss at Sorrento last weekend our performance was much better and we would have come home with some points had we not made some crucial mistakes that cost us some goals. This weekend should hopefully see the return of our top goal scorer Feisal Zaw, who we know will give us another attacking threat with his speed. These next two homes games against Inglewood and Balcatta will go a long way to deciding our fate for the rest of the season. We are hopeful that we will have our vocal support in attendance once again to push the players over the line.”

As Taylor said, its a massive two weeks for Rockingham, as next week, they host Balcatta in a real 6 point game, but first, they must overcome Inglewood.

Mandurah City’s hopes of a top 4 finish are slowly fading, however a win on Saturday will still keep those hopes alive. The Dolphins travel too long time rivals Western Knights who are currently in 2nd place, 12 points behind leaders Stirling Macedonia. Games between these two teams are usually highly contested and the one should be no different. Kick off is at 3pm at the home of Western Knights, Nash Field.
