
Baldivis Districts Women’s South Division 1 side kept up there promotion push with a comfortable 4-0 win over Gosnells City.
Gosnells started the game bottom of the ladder and proved no match for The Diva’s as they raced into a 3-0 lead at half time with goals from Jones, McDonald and Thompson. Districts then cruised through the second half and Hollings completed the scoring to make it a comprehensive victory for the home side.
Also in the same division, Port Kennedy scored 4 as they beat high flying South Perth 4-2. The win now means PK are 9 points clear of bottom placed Gosnells.
In the South Division 2, Baldivis push for promotion gained momentum as they ran out 5-0 winners over Armadale. The win puts them 6 points behind leaders Curtin University but have played a game more. The main highlight from the game was a hat trick from C Hammer. Mandurah City had to travel to Kalamunda on Sunday and it was the visitors who prospered winning 3-2 while Rockingham City won 4-0 away to Victoria Park but it was a defeat for Rockingham united, losing 3-1 away to Canning City.
