Peel’s Push For Promotion As PK Hit For 6

Our Amateur league round up starts in division 1 as Peel United are now 5 points clear of 2nd placed Emerald FC with only 8 games to go.

Peel traveled to Forrestfield, with some injuries and suspensions but still managed to come away with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Sullivan and Manuel. There was also a welcome return to key striker, Jake Loreto, after several games absent through injury.

Also in division 1, Port Kennedy made the long trip to North Beach and despite 2 goals from Warren, went down 6-2.

Division 2 saw Mandurah City lose 3-2 away to Subiaco. Goals from MacKinder and Bradshaw were not enough as Subiaco scored the winner with just 5 minutes remaining.

Baldivis in division 3 picked up 3 valuable points in their push to avoid relegation as they defeated Woodvale 2-1 away from home. A last minute goal from Christie was the perfect tonic, especially as Woodvale equalised in the 85th minute.

Finally, in division 4, Rockingham City’s woes continued as only an Andrews goal in the 5th minute was their only highlight as they lost 5-1 away to MUM FC.
