In division 1, it was top v bottom as Peel United were expected to make light work of bottom side Ellenbrook United, but for those who were there, witnessed the complete opposite.
Peel just didn’t seem to be up to their usual high standards and just as frustrations were beginning to show, Blake Diggin scored a rare goal in the 65th minute and the relief was clear to be seen on both players and coaching staff. Meanwhile, Port Kennedy were denied a point when a last minute winner by Curtis gave Forrestfield all 3 points in a 2-1 win.
With just 5 games to go, Peel are still in the driving seat to get promotion and claim the division 1 title for a second season running.
