Metro South Division 1 side Baldivis Districts caused one of the upsets of the season last night as they travelled to Ladies Amateur side Forrestfield in the semi final of the Metropolitan Cup and beat them to reach the final for the first time in their history.

It was a huge team effort but the Diva’s have Breeanna Thompson to thanks as it was her 2 goals that were all the difference.

The Baldivis team won’t have long to find out who they will play in the final as the second semi final between Amateur side Fremantle City and South Division 2 side Brooklands is being played this Thursday night.

Coach Barry Wilders was lost for words this morning ( a rare thing indeed!) but did manage to say that “It was a cracker of a game, evening this morning I am too stuffed to chat about it!”

The final date and venue are to be announced, but let’s already start to wish the team all the best for the final.
