Peel’s Promotion Push Prevails

Despite having to play the 2nd half with 10 men after Strang received his 2nd yellow card of the game, Peel United’s push for the league title got a step closer with a 3-2 win over South Perth United. The win now means Peel need 4 points from their remaining 3 games to win division 1 for a second consecutive season. Port Kennedy however had a day to forget as they lost 4-0 at home to Southern Spirit.

in division 2, Mandurah City made the long trip to Carramar Shamrock Rovers and came away with a good 3-1 win while in division 3, Baldivis eased their relegation fears with a 2-0 win over bottom of the table La Fiamma. Rockingham City in division 4 got 3 points without playing as their opponents, Alkimos-Quinns had to withdraw from the fixture.
