The Seniors Sunday Review

In the final league fixtures for the Amateurs, Masters and Socials, it was still a very busy Sunday for some of our teams.

Peel United in the amateur league finished the season off on a disappointing note, losing 2-0 at Ellenbrook United while Port Kennedy had an entertaining 3-2 win at Forrestfield United. The final league table finished as Peel as champions of division 1 with 48 points, while Port Kennedy finished 9th on 24 points. Mandurah City in division 2 had no game and finished the season in 5th place.. Baldivis in division 3 lost 3-0 away at Kalamunda United and finished the season in 11th place as did Rockingham City in division 4 who had a fine 6-2 win at home to Northern City with Robbie Galvin scoring a hat trick in the game.

Baldivis metro league side completed the season in 2nd place of the south division 1, capped off with a 3-0 win away at Belmont Villa, while the result between Leeming strikers and Rockingham United is not yet in. Mandurah City completed their championship winning season winning 3-0 at home to Victoria Park while both Port Kennedy and Murray District Rangers had no game and finished the season 7th and 9th respectively. In the south division 3, Baldivis lost 5-1 at home to Sporting Warriors while the result between Peel United and Warnbro Strikers is not yet in. Baldivis of south division 4 had no game but still ended up as runners up to Spearwood Dalmatinac.

In the masters competition, Rockingham united drew 0-0 away at Spearwood Dalmatinac, while both Port Kennedy and Mandurah City had no game. These results meant Mandurah finished 4th, Port Kennedy 6th and Rockingham 7th. The only game in south division 2 saw Mandurah City win 1-0 away at South Perth United. This result gave Mandurah the runners up spot while Baldivis finished 5th. In the masters over 45’s competition, Baldivis finished the season in style, winning 5-0 at Spearwood Dalmatinac and finishing the season 3rd.
