
Well that’s about it! With the exception of the occasional carnival and end of season awards nights, our football season has come to an end and I hope you all enjoy your break or in many cases, I hope you ENJOYED your break as planning for next season has well and truely started. Our usual podcast service will be winding down for the summer but we will be around with special shows regarding football in the region and as ever, we invite you to make a suggestion on what would be something good to talk about.
So, looking around the clubs various social media pages, here is the latest news from around the grounds.
Congratulations Radmila Popovic for winning the David Schrandt Administrator and Volunteer of the Year Award! Radmila’s leadership of Port Kennedy Soccer Club Inc. “Official” during a temporary relocation from their home ground due to upgrades has seen the club not only maintain their current membership levels but develop strong collaborative relationships with the City of Rockingham and other sports clubs. Radmila has worked closely with Football West across such initiatives such as Building Stronger Clubs and Hyundai Australia Community Football Raffle. Congratulations Radmila!

Mandurah City are on the look out for a new state league women’s coach

Rockingham United are on the look out for players, coaches, helpers for next season:

The Peel Regional Walking Football Club are on the look out for more players to join them for their social games. Men should be over 50 while women over 40 but if you aren’t quite that age yet, I’m sure they wouldn’t mind you turning up and having a game.
It is most suitable for past players who wish to continue playing or return to a team sport environment, will find that: Walking Football (No Running) is a fun version of the game with minimal contact, it is a low impact team sport giving a good aerobics workout that relies on skills, passing and vision over running and hard physical contact.
Monday evening 6pm – 7pm At our home base, The Sporting Globe Stadium, Halls Head (Peel Hockey Club). Outdoors – under lights on Astroturf.
Friday Afternoon 2pm – 3pm At the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre (MARC), Mandurah.Indoors – wooded floor (Basketball Court)

Rockingham City are on the look out for under18’s for next seasons state league team.

AFC Rockingham is looking for players for the up and coming 2022 season. Playing out of the Singleton area, we have a great community club and looking for players next season to join our 45s, 35s and socials teams.
