It does not seem too long ago when everyone was looking forward to a nice break from football and now, as this is being written, clubs are already getting ready for their first meaningful games of the season.

Saturday night sees the Football West State League Night series kick off with the game between Mandurah City and Rockingham City. The game is being played in Bunbury at 7pm but it is anticipated that a few supporters from each club are going to make the journey south.

Meanwhile, all clubs in the area are actively preparing for the new season ahead. Here is a quick snap shot of what’s going on at the clubs.

Port Kennedy Soccer Club

The women’s teams are still seeking some more players. Training for the division 1 team is on Tuesday and Thursdays between 6.30 and 8pm while the division 2/3 teams is on Monday’s and Wednesday’s between 6.30 and 8pm. For more information, contact Kev on 0449 577 671 or Taylor on 0423 534 468

Warnbro Strikers Soccer Club

Warnbro Strikers are holding a series of registration dates in February. On Saturday 12th February between 10am and 2pm they will be at the Warnbro Fair Shopping Centre, Saturday 26th February at the Waikki Shopping Centre between 10am and 2pm and also at their club house at Georgetown Reserve on Friday 18th February and Friday 25th February between 5.3o and 7pm

Baldivis Districts Football Club

As an all girl football club, with Junior Team from under 6’s to under 14’s and several senior women teams, the club are on the look out for more players to be part of one of the fastest growing clubs in the region. Rockingham United Football Club

Rockingham United have already started training and everyone is welcome to turn up. The club prides itself on not having trials, they play for the love of the game and offer development opportunities for everyone. Peel Regional Walking Football

Walking football session continue on Monday nights and Friday afternoons. Monday evenings between 6 and 7pm are held at the Peel Hockey stadium in Halls Head and cost $6 per player (Cash Only) while Friday afternoons are at the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre between 2pm and 3pm and cost $5.20 per player. Mandurah City Football Club

Mandurah City are on the look out for a coach for their Under 16’s NPL team. Please contact the club president at president@mandurahcityfc.com.au to register your interest

On Wednesday 16th February, the club will be starting training sessions for junior boys and girls. Boys Miniroos (Under 7 to Under 12) are between 5 and 6pm, Girls Miniroos (Under 8 to Under 10) are between 5pm and 6pm. Boys divisional (Under 13 to Under 16) and Girls Divisional (Under 12 to Under 18) are between 6 and 7pm. For more information, please email the club at juniors@mandurahcityfc.com.au

AFC Rockingham Football Club

Registrations for 2022 are now open. The club has teams in the Socials, Masters and Over 45’s divisions and are looking for new players to join them at their home venue in Singleton. To register with the club, log onto www.playfootball.com.au You will need to look for Rockingham City and then select the AFC Rockingham option.

Baldivis Soccer Club

Training for the Under 18’s team starts on Wednesday 2nd February from 5pm at Tranby College. Any interested players are welcome to attend and just asked to speak to Karl Chandler.

The Amateurs are looking for a reserve team coach for this season. The role will also involve assisting the first team coach so any interested parties are asked to email the club baldivissoccerclub@hotmail.com The club are also in need of a coach for the Women’s team as well as a goalkeeper for the Under 15’s team.

Rockingham City Football Club

The club have MiniRoos registrations on Friday 4th February from 4pm at the club. To register to attend, please use the following link http://www.rcfcminiroosregistrations.floktu.com All the information you need will be on Friday to play for the club as well as a sausage sizzle.
