Mandurah City’s defence of the Football Night Series cam to an end on Saturday despite beating league winners Curtin University 3-0.

The result meant that Mandurah could only finish up as runners up and had to wait for 24 hours to see if they ended up as one of the best two runners up. Unfortunately, results on Sunday meant this was not the case so now it’s time to start preparation for the league season ahead.

In the other game, its was a 7 goal thriller with Rockingham City beating South West Phoenix 4-3 with a last minute winner.
