It’s almost here, as the first Saturday of the new football season approaches. More details about those game later in the week so for now, here is a quick round up of the news from the grounds.

If you can’t wait for Saturday for your football fix, there is a game on Thursday night as Warnbro Strikers play AFC rockingham in a socials friendly match. Kick off is at 7pm at Georgetown Oval.

Rockingham City are just finalising their squads for the season, but are in need of some extra players for the Under 14’s development squad. Also, due to a change in player circumstance RCFC State League U18s are in need of a Goal Keeper. They have both team training and goal keeper training available and offer support for both your development and progression. Are you ready for the challenge of Saturday football? Port Kennedy would also like to hear from anyone who is still looking for a club. They especially would like to hear from you if you can play in any of these teams: Masters, Under 14’s (especially a goal keeper), Women wanting to play in division 2 or 3 and amateurs.

Mandurah City are going to have a follow up workshop on the 30th March. Following a very successful first workshop with some great ideas raised they would like need ALL members to come down on Wednesday 30th March for our final workshop. This event starts at 6pm.

Baldivis are looking for under 10’s and under 11’s for this year and a goal keeper for their under 15’s team.

It ill be great day on Sunday 27th March at theme of Murray District Rangers as there will be the opening of the new clubhouse. The event starts at 1230pm, which also includes the AGM. We will be down the ground on Sunday to take a look around and see the massive improvements made in the facility.

Rockingham United arestill looking for a few more female football players to join the Div 2 and Div 3 teams. The club supports and encourages women of all ages and abilities in the sport of football – doesn’t matter your age, or if you are a mum, student or shift worker, or haven’t played a sport in years. Training is at the Paul Garnett Reserve in Cooloongup on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6:15pm.
