The Weekend Review

Rockingham City’s disappointing start of the season continued on Saturday, as they went down 3-1 to UWA Nedlands. Only a consolation goal from Taylor was the high point of the game as City also had Mitch Firth sent off late in the first half. Mandurah City also had a man sent off in their home game against Fremantle but were unlucky not to get all three points as they drew 1-1 with Barker scoring for them. With these results, it sets up an interesting game next Saturday when the 2 teams meet at Lark Hill.

Rockingham United and Port Kennedy played out a very entertaining cup game in the Women’s Metro Cup. With the scores level at 2-2 at the end of the game, it was Port Kennedy who came out victorious in the resulting penalty shoot out.
