Rockingham City finally got their first win on the board on Saturday as they held on to beat Joondalup City 2-1 in the State League. Rockingham were completely dominant in the first half and went into the break 2-0 up and despite Joondalup getting a goal back with 30 minutes to go, City held on the their first win of the season and move them up to 10th in the table.
Meanwhile, Mandurah City’s goal scoring run continued on Saturday. After scoring 4 goals in the previous 3 games, the Dolphins went one better in beating Subiaco 5-2. The win now makes Mandurah the currently highest scorers in the league and pushed them up to 3rd position.
In the reserves competition, Rockingham drew 3-3 while Mandurah lost 4-1 and in the under 18’s Rockingham won 2-0 while Mandurah had 2 players sent off in the first half in their 8-0 loss.
