Peel United’s metro south division 2 side recently suffered some sad news as one of their players, James Gifford, suffered a double leg break in a game against Belmont Villa.
James, 18 suffered the injury during the game and had to then spend 5 days in intensive care, which ended up with him having surgery. At the time of writing, he is still in hospital and will defiantly be off work for the next three months. By all accounts, his recovery is slow but progressing well as he is now out of intensive care and in a hospital ward.
If any of our readers are able to spare a few dollars to help James (who is a student and casual worker so no sick pay), then a go fund me page has been opened for any assistance.
The link to the page is James Go Fund Me Page and we would like to wish James all the best in his recovery.
