Majestic Mandurah – Rockingham Not So

In form Mandurah completely had their shooting boots on Saturday as they scored 9 pass Forrestfield United. Mandurah should have made it double figures but a missed penalty in the last minute penalty to do so. This however should not distract the performance. Van Dieken opened the scoring in the 2nd minute but things then didn’t go Mandurah’s way as Forrestfield then scored twice in quick succession to take a 2-1 lead. O’Brien levelled the scores before Shaked and Van Dieken with his second made the half time score 4-2. O’Brien got his 2nd of the game after 50 minutes to make it 5-2 before Paylor and then O’Brien for his hattrick made it 7-2 with 20 minutes still to play. Mandurah made a few substitutions and 2 of these substitutes in Rogers and Breen finished off the scoring and sending the home crown home very happy.

Rockingham City didn’t have a good day on Saturday, going down 3-2 at home to lowly Dianella White Eagles. The home side were down 1-0 at half time and things got worse in the 2nd half as Kennedy got sent off while the away team extended their lead. Despite a Galvin goal with 5 minutes to go, Rockingham could not find a way of getting the equalising goal.

The results now mean Rockingham are in 10th place, while Mandurah City have moved up to 3rd place and set up an interesting game this Saturday as they travel to 2nd place Western Knights.
