Both Mandurah and Rockingham City kept their season’s alive and kicking on Saturday as both teams registered vital wins at the opposite ends of the table.
Rockingham Started off the best of the two teams, going into a 2-0 lead after just 7 minutes, but when MUM FC got a goal back, and then Rockingham went down to 10 men, it looked for a while that the home side were going to struggle for the rest of the game. However, bravely City fought and held on to the 2-1 win and a valuable 3 points.
Mandurah were involved in a top of a table clash against league leaders Olympic Kingsway and went into a 2-0 lead but 2 goals in 5 minutes saw the visitors level the game at 2-2 and they must have been thinking they had got a valuable point from the game. Mandurah had other ideas and scored the winner with just 8 minutes go and keeps there promotion hopes alive.
After all the results from the day, Mandurah are in 4th place, while Rockingham are in 11th.
