On Sunday, Murray District Rangers invited people down to take a look at their new facility. The previous facility was just a very small brick built ‘hut’, but this new pavilion, is a massive improvement.

Boasting some of the largest changing rooms around and several toilets for all abilities and sex, it shows that hard work does pay off as it has taken the cab many years of lobbying to finally get this building.

Club president, Tom Duxbury officially open the facilities to players, coaches and friends and said that with the new changing areas and canteen, it will allow the club to grow and develop and increase the number of teams for next season and beyond.

The facility is the second major improvement the grounds have had in recent years. A few years ago, the club managed to save enough money to get the drainage system all working and now can boast some of the best playing surfaces around.
