Around The Grounds

Here is this weeks look around what’s been happening in and around our clubs this week.

Peel Junior Soccer Association

Congratulations to the PJSA 2022 Under 11s Country week team for being nominated and chosen as finalists in the City of Mandurah Sports Awards – Junior Team of the Year category.

Port Kennedy Soccer Club

I’m sure many of you are taking part in Movember this year, and well done to you all that are. One such person is Neil Walker, who coaches the under 6’s as well as played for our Social Men’s team. His iconic Top Knot is on the line in support of Movember. Men’s mental health is a very important topic, and one that doesn’t get spoken about enough. So if you want to see Neil cut off his luscious locks and support Movember then donate here: Neil Walker Movember

Mandurah City

Also nominated for the City of Mandurah 2022 Sports Awards are Mandurah City FC Girls Under 12’s Team. The winners will be announced on Wednesday 23rd November, and again, good luck to you all.

Peel Regional Football Council

Notice is given of the Peel Regional Football Council AGM on Tuesday 22nd November, from 6.30pm at a venue TBA.

The PRFC will be holding its AGM on the 22nd November. As always, nominations are now open for the following positions:

Chairman

Treasurer

Secretary

After the AGM, the first meeting of the 2023 season will be held, followed by the traditional thank you meal at a nearby restaurant.

After 6 years as chairman of the PRFC, Jim Webb will not be standing for another year. Jim feels that it is the right time for someone new to come on board and bring new ideas and events to promote the game in the Peel Region.

To nominate for the chairman role, you need to be completely independent from the members clubs of the PRFC. For the other roles, anyone can nominate.

Would all attendees please let Belinda know if they are attending the AGM and the Christmas meal after, or just the AGM
