Around The Grounds

Christmas may just around the corner, but clubs are still busy getting ready for next season. Here is a quick round up of what has recently been happening at the clubs.

Port Kennedy’s Master’s Women Team are seeking a coach to join them for the upcoming season. Ideally, they are seeking an individual who won’t take Sunday games too seriously, can enjoy the game (regardless of the results) and can guide them through the training sessions. Mandurah City’s state league side have signed Irish defender Aaron McCready. Aaron (24) joins them after playing football in America for the last 5 years. Recently playing for Asheville City SC in the USL2 and OSA Seattle in the NPSL for the 2022 season. Head Coach John Baird added “I am delighted to have got Aaron over the line. When Aaron came to our attention we agreed he was the type of personality and player we want at Mandurah City. He ticked all of mine and my coaching staff’s boxes and as a lad, he came across really well. His background and what he has achieved in America has proven he is very mature and has a lot of potential. Considering the clubs we are competing with all over Australia, it’s a massive compliment Aaron decided the best option to continue his football career was to join Mandurah City FC. It’s a credit to the club and my coaching staff.”

Meanwhile, the senior ladies team are holding an open training session on Wednesday 7th December, from 6.30pm. All ladies, regardless of ability are welcome to attend and for more information, please email Mel at melpasch@hotmail.com.au
