Happy New Year!!!

Ok, so it’s nearly mid January, but to all our readers and podcast listeners, we hope you have a very happy new year ahead. While we have been having a short break, some of teams and associations have been hard at work in getting ready for the season ahead, so here is an extended loo at what has been happening around the grounds this year so far.

Port Kennedy Soccer Club

They are seeking Expressions of Interest for our U18’s for the 2023 season. At this stage they are unsure if they will have an U16’s side, so it may be a combined 16/18’s team.

They had a great start for their Women’s squads at the first training session and the club appreciated everyone who made the effort to attend. The 2nd session will be going ahead this Wednesday 11th January. (Tonight) from 6pm onwards at Warnbro Oval. All past, present and new players 15+ years are welcome.

The 2023 pre-season for the Amateurs and Reserves has started off strongly and positively. As the season fast approaches, coaches Liam and Craig are now moving training to permanent Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6.30 and 8.30pm at the Shoalwater Reserve. The club would like to take a moment to not only thank, but also welcome those coaches who will be joining them for the 2023 season! With so much interest and new teams joining PK in 2023, they are still seeking some additional coaches for some of their squads across both Junior and Senior teams.

After a fantastic 2022 season, the under 14s are seeking EOI for the upcoming season. The lads are moving to the Division 1 league and are set for another great season!

The League Finals winning U15’s are kicking off Trials Thursday 12th and Thursday 19th Jan from 6.30pm at the Shoalwater Reserve

Walking Football returns on Wednesday evenings at Warnbro Oval from 5.30pm. Please remember to bring your trainers, plenty of water and a friend! Great atmosphere, great laughs and great fitness!

WOMEN’S JANUARY TRAINING SCHEDULE 🐬🐬 Are you wanting to get fit for 2023? Look no further!
The club invites all existing and new players to our January sessions before we finalise the teams for the 2023 season. Sessions are on the 11th, 18th, 19th, 24th and 25th January from 6.30pm at the GenesisCare Stadium.

The state league side continue their pre-season games on Saturday when they host the Perth Glory NPL sides. Kick off for the first team game is at 9am, reserves at 11am and under 18’s at 1pm.

The club would like to invite all exisiting and new players down to an open training session on Wednesday 11th January as we look to build strong squads for the amateurs teams for the 2023 season.

Peel United Soccer Club

Peel United’s search for a first team coach is now over, having appointed former player, Daryl Willmott as first team coach. Daryl replaces Clint Brown, who stood down as first team coach at the end of last season after 4 years in charge.

Peel’s search is now for a goalkeeper to play in their amateur premier division side. The club have got plenty of incentives for the right player, so if you feel you could be that keeper, please contact Blake on 0439 950 069

Baldivis Soccer Club

It’s a happy new year for the Reserves Amateurs with the appointment of a new coach in Huss Ahmed. Huss was the clubs Most Improved Player last year but has decided that he has more to offer the team as a coach. He believes that the 9 years of experience and discipline he has from boxing and Muay Thai can be transferred to soccer in the form of strong mentality, grit and training.
With the Firsts already being trained by a former State judo champion (Jake) and a current Muay Thai World Champion (George) the teams should have no shortage of fighting spirit going into the 2023 season!!

Warnbro Strikers Soccer Club

Warnbro Strikers Soccer Club are accepting Expressions of Interest for the upcoming 2023 Season.
With a very successful 2022 Season that showed a great amount of growth right throughout the club, they are expecting a BIG 2023 season ahead. If you are aged 3 years old right through to 45+ wanting to be a part of a Family Friendly Club, that encourages everyone of all abilities to play the wonderful game, then look no further. The pride themselves on giving everyone of all ages, abilities & genders a chance to take the field in an environment that is well supported and has a fantastic family atmosphere that everyone enjoys.

Warnbro Strikers Soccer Club are seeking Coaches for the 2023 season.
If you have thought of coaching or would be interested in giving it a go, they would love to hear from you. With a large influx of players, they are needing coaches for a number of age groups, starting from as young as under 7’s through to under 16’s.

Rockingham City Football Club

The club are on the hunt for a few more like minded under 14 players. the clubs inclusive and supportive community is in need of a few more players to complete the squad.

The club are ready to welcome registrations for children aged 8 to 11 to come along and have a game. If you have no experience or some, come along anyway and just play for fun.

Jump into the year with a team sport. The club are looking for children born in 2008 to join the Under 15s team. Talent or skills at any level and first timers are welcome to register.

AFC Rockingham Football Club

AFC Rockingham returns for the 2023 season to welcome back all past and new players.
AFC are located in the southern Rockingham area and looking for players to join or return to the div 1 and 3 social teams, masters 35s and 45s. Fees are $300 and kept low thanks to great support from our local sponsors.

Peel Regional Walking Football

Getting more popular is the Peel Regional Football Club but more players are welcome. Sessions are on Tuesday evening from 6.30 at the Mandurah Indoor Sports venue and Friday afternoons from 2pm at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
