The Weekend Preview

For those of us who enjoy watching their football on a Saturday afternoon are in for not much of a treat. Options are either travel some distance or off to the shops to get your Mother’s Day gifts!

Due to recent events, Rockingham City’s home games against Gosnells City are being played behind closed doors. Please do not attend these games, you won’t get in! You are however, able to watch Mandurah City play, but you will need to make the journey to Padbury, as they take on Joondalup United. Both games are available to watch on the Streamer website.

Sunday has its usual rounds of both junior and senior football. In the Women’s league, it’s the cup round where Port Kennedy travel to South Perth United. Mandurah City were meant to be playing Armadale in the same competition, but Armadale have forfeited the game so City progress to the next round. However, the league season continues for the Division sides as Mandurah travel to Armadale and Port Kennedy travel to Hamersley.

The grading system for the men’s masters is over and the leagues can now begin. FC Shoalwater are at home to UWA Nedlands in the South Division 1 over 45’s, but AFC Rockingham are away to Gosnells City in the same Division. South Division 3 has Baldivis at home to Kalamunda in the masters league, while in South Division 1, there is a local derby between Mandurah City and Port Kennedy.

There are plenty of other games to see, check out the clubs social media pages for details or have a go at downloading the Squadi app…

As ever, we wish all our teams the best of luck and we will be at at least 1 game on Sunday, possibly 2!
